Help me understand why I see the "edit" button to the left of the "report" in the upper right of some of my posts and not present on other of my posts? I recently had a duplicate post and did not find a means to delete it, - 'moderator completed the need. Under what circumstances does the edit option appear or not appear?
......now it's there, as I added this!
Why is there no edit button on my last post on "St.Augustine Inlet Strikes Again"?
'no complaint here,- just trying to learn.

It's probably just a per-forum-permission setting I missed. I'll have a look. Permissions are set per forum, not globally, so it's easy to miss a few in the set up process.

Yep, missed a forum. Should be there now :)

You "may" need to delete all cookies then log back in. If you do click here ucp.php?mode=delete_cookies

This can fix other oddities you may encounter as well.

OK, Bryce it is! I was mistaken in my thought that the former moderator from "Livingaboard" (Capt Rob) was administrating this site. I went back and read your introduction which still leaves you with a "stealth" profile. That's fine, good administrating and moderating on a online site can come best without a big presence. We won't pay too much attention to the "man behind the curtain"! Thanks for all you do! ...Stewart

I am currently boatless but most recently lived aboard a 46' Sedan (6 years), previously a 35' Express. I am a power boater but am considering a sailboat in the future, possibly a cat.

I did contact Capt Rob a while back. He registered but I got the impressions he was still a tad upset that he couldn't purchase the old site, and didn't really have any interest in participating in this one, for reasons unknown. Again, just a unconfirmed feeling I have.

I love boating, I love living on boats, I love creating communities of like minded people. This site seemed like a natural fit for me.

Good administrators don't really have to do much administrating, bad administrators are constantly administrating ;)

My only real issue is keeping Jax from scaring off the newbies :D

Oh man, ain't that the truth?! Most of us came on board here to escape him, but then he found out about us. ;)
