Has anyone any information on Janice aboard her 23' mini trawler? She has not posted on her BLOG since May 24, 2017.

Scal: I just checked my e-mail, texts and then went to the forums I know she attends, and the latest post I found was on Trawler Forum on June 7th, 2017. She sounded her usual self and made no mention about any new difficulties, personal or with Sea Weed. I'll leave a message with her tomorrow to see what's up. Jeeze, I sure hope nothing is wrong.

Scal: what a relief! I got this text from Janice this morning:

Thank you for your note . My computer is giving me fits .i am struggling with it . And I have to get it working properly to upload to my website . I use a program front page professional that works fine with windows seven . It is frustrating though I am trying a total system restore . Nuke and pave as the code writers suggest may just be the ticket . I am hoping so . It is great to hear from you both . Have been making a lot of local runs. My version of McDonald's iced coffee soothes the soul . Take care . All is well here . Seaweed is wonderful . Me too!

I don't think that will work, Captain Charlie. The Admiral and I donated our solar panels to Seaweed last year and both of them love us now.

Well, that's true....she's a lot more loveable than I am. Here we are with Janice. She's the little one in the middle holding Seaweed's first mate, Skipper. Now you know why a 23 ft. Shucker Trawler is so ideal for those two.

I had someone ask to buy my Venture of Newport 23. He must have been 6 feet tall. He wanted to live aboard. One year a guy with a family of 5 wanted to buy it. I found it okay until I went to the porta potti. What fun! I envy Janice. She seems happy and enjoys what she is doing.

Yeah. In spite of some very hard months she was stuck without a main engine or the cooperation to complete the re-power project, she remained positive. Too often when one a boat owner, gross ineptitude and attitude are in control of ones enjoyment, and f you happen to be a live-aboard, it could be control of your life. She certainly has had her share of it.

I read about Janice's trials with the engine/ diesel replacement. Going from gas to diesel is involved. Engines are not my forte. I look forward to her words of wisdom just like CaptForc's. My level of expertise are oars. I still have found ways to find they do not work. I lost the nut holding the oar lock in place. Maybe I should just swim.
