So the dredge is still here, and after checking out the Fernandina city council meeting on the 18th, looks like no progress. Anything new Charlie on your end, Charlie?

We've been on vacation... Will check things out tomorrow when I go back to work... My best bet is NOTHING has been done.... Heck, two weeks ago the council was talking about waiting till after the election in Oct so the new members can maybe decide on something....

As the snail turns..... Actually, it has turned, ever so slightly, the city has OK'd the marina to rebuild the last 250' of the main dock,(the marina already has had the funds available in the bank) including the fuel pumps... The bids are out and the marina manager says it will be up and running by Dec 31st.
While I was in his office, he got a call from a yacht wanting to dock for 3 days and get fuel.... He said that was his 3rd call of the day he had to turn away... One was a 260', a 110' and a 70' boat ... Think of all the money that would of brought in...

It's a start Charlie. Looks like our fuel sales will still be up in the fall thanks to the Fernandina city council.

361 days after Matthew hit, the city council PASSED the request for $6,000 to get the fuel dock to go with the $190,000 grant money... What's sad is, the city could of done this back in January...... "but why rush things"... So now we are looking at Feb 1 for the north 250' of the north breakwater to be fixed and fuel pumps up and running...

St. Augustine City Marina had bags on the pump handles. The marina still has months to go before it is repaired. This has been a very expensive hurricane.

MASSIVE UPDATE...... FEMA has informed the city is has approved $6.4 million for repairs to the city marina... Took over a year (happens when the city doesn't apply for the money till June or July, aka, 8 or 9 months after the hurricane hit)..... "they" are saying 36 months till it's 100%, I will be shocked if it's done in 48 month....
