Houston Liveaboard

Postby jmittelman6 » Tue Jul 24, 2018 2:50 pm

Hey everyone!
New(ish) liveaboard, live in the Galveston Bay area on my 1975 Gulfstar 41 CC Sloop. I've been restoring it one bit at a time, this week's project is replacing a wood panel in my aft cabin. Goal is to get it in shape to sail around the world (or at least the Caribbean).

We left Watergate Marina on Clear Lake/Kemah in 2012. Also spent some time at Harborwalk in Hitchcock and Cove Harbor in Rockport. Currently in Brunswick, Ga. With some other Texas boats. No oil rigs to dodge here on the East Coast, and the Bahamas close by. No Whataburger though! Anyway, welcome and hope to see more of your posts.

Is the marina there pretty liveaboard friendly? It saddens me to see places like Island Moorings in Port Aransas, and the Municipal Marina there, no longer allowing liveaboards.
