My question as well. I'm a big fan of Garmin and Active Captain. I use both pretty much any day we are moving the boat. I don't see anything negative happening when you join two great sources together, but what do I know? We shall see. I know that Jeff was pretty excited about the future when he gave his talks here at the marina. He is leading edge on what's happening in the future. Jeff is a sharp guy. I have really enjoyed some of his writing in the "Marina Minute" that he sends to participating marinas. As an active cruiser, and being connected with many marinas, he sees both sides. A win/win for cruising folks and for the marinas that rely on, and relish great reviews from their customers. I think it was huge for Jeff to give up his baby to Garmin. No way he would have done that without being 110% sure of a successful marriage.
