Makin' Bacon

On the Patrica Ann, we take pride on being self sufficient. We grow a lot of our own vegetables, do most of our mechanical work and now, have another DIY item to add; makin' bacon. We have been asked by several friends and customers for the recipe...here it is.

OK...you got my interest...... Now do you reheat it in the oven,microwave, on the grill before serving it???
As I'm only a 5 min walk from my boat to yours.... Am willing to try it and give an "unbiased" report on this site.... :roll:

OK people.... I got a hunk of the bacon from Mike yesterday and this morning I did cut it in thin slices and fried it up. Bot th the Admiral and I thought it was AWESOME.. So I'm ordering the pink salt and as soon as I get that... It's off to Publix to order me the meat....

My witchdoctor says I'm not allowed it any more, but I can smell it cooking right now just by reading this, so enjoy some for me guys and have some Jimmy Dean sausage patties too..

You don't end up with that much..... Nice thing is, you get to cut it as thick or thin as you want..... And surprising little amount of grease...

Must be bacon week. We grilled/smoked 3 lbs on the Egg last week. After low heat, we freeze the bacon. We put pieces in green beans. Couldn't put the Egg on the s/v too heavy.
